Expert Study on the Subject Automation in Assembly
Within the framework of the research project "MAproFli - Multivariable automation decisions for volume- and product-flexible flow assembly" funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG), the Laboratory for Machine Tools and Production Engineering (WZL) of RWTH Aachen University in cooperation with the University of Siegen is conducting an expert study. This study focuses on the importance of non-monetary influencing factors for automation decisions.
The research project "MAproFli - Multivariable automation decisions for volume and product flexible flow assembly" deals with the development of a decision methodology for the optimal degree of automation in volume and product flexible flow assembly based on multivariable criteria.
The aims of the research project are:
- an improvement of the decision-making ability by a context-relevant selection of the decision factors
- an improvement in the quality of decision-making
- a reduction of the decision effort through a multivariable decision-taking process methodology
Interested industry representatives in the field of assembly are kindly asked to assess the importance of monetary and non-monetary factors. Participation is expected to take between 10 and 15 minutes and does not require any preparation or prior knowledge. Participation is voluntary and answers will be treated anonymously. The publication of the results obtained in the context of this study will also be anonymous.
