The "Urban Factory Lab" is a tour on the subject of production in urban space through the Aachen district of Rothe Erde, during which the citizens of Aachen not only gain an insight into the history of production in Aachen, but also into the latest production facility of e.GO Mobile AG in Rothe Erde. In the real production environment, citizens can discover the latest knowledge from science and research combined with examples from the automotive industry.
The "Urban Factory Lab" focuses on the experience of production in urban space. It shows that production in urban areas can already be implemented today through technologies and concepts compatible with urban environments. In addition, opportunities, concerns and conflict potentials can be discussed in an open exchange between residents, companies and project representatives.
