WZL hosts Expert Forum on Production Planning and Control

The Laboratory for Machine Tools and Production Engineering (WZL) of RWTH Aachen University will host the Expert Forum Production Planning and Control (PPS) on May 14, 2019 in Frankfurt am Main. The focus here will be on the PPS of the future and the question of the benefits of digitalization in production. In addition, methods will explain how manufacturing companies can prepare their production for future requirements.

The Expert Forum takes place in cooperation with the Institute for Production Systems and Logistics IFA of Leibniz University Hannover, the Fraunhofer Institute for Foundry, Composite and Processing Technology IGCV Augsburg and the Institute for Production Management and Technology IPMT of the Technical University Hamburg.

Under the direction of Prof. Günther Schuh (WZL), Prof. Peter Nyhuis (IFA), Prof. Hermann Lödding (IPMT) and Prof. Gunter Reinhart (IGCV), the participants will be provided an insight into current and future issues relating to production analytics, supply chain modelling, the evolution of integrated production systems and transparent production control by presentations from industry and researchers as well as interactive discussions.

The event is addressed to specialists and managers who are responsible for ensuring the future viability of their production sites. Interested parties are invited to use the expert forum as an exchange of experience and knowledge to challenge their production planning and control, to find out about current trends and success factors and to network with best practices.
