Abstract
For manufacturing Multilayer Systems for vertical functional integration with small structures, the R2R process offers a high potential for cost reduction. The focus of the dissertation is on the design and implementation of a system for web manipulation using contactless web guidance, as well as the detection and correction of inhomogeneous web tension distributions. It is investigated to what extent such a system is suitable for a continuous multilayer lamination process.
