The research project pursues the goal of optimizing production ramp-ups through the automated generation of assembly planning data. For this purpose, an innovative software application for automated process preparation is being developed. The software application to be developed is based on an algorithm that uses artificial intelligence (AI). Within the project, the Laboratory for Machine Tools and Production Engineering (WZL) of RWTH Aachen University controls the work packages of data acquisition and creation of the assembly data set, data preparation and AI training as well as the iterative testing of the AI algorithm using unknown assembly processes. The AI implementation, as well as the application and validation phase are conceptually accompanied. Furthermore, the WZL is responsible for project management and documentation in AGASTIK.
