Certificate Course Chief Mobility Engineering
Mobility is an existential issue whose design is the responsibility of many people and institutions. The need to redesign inner-city and peri-urban mobility arises from environmental protection and quality-of-life considerations. The future vision of an ecologically aware society includes a reorganization of mobility as an essential lever - both at the production level in vehicle construction and in the resource-efficient use of its resources at the organizational level. However, the search for solutions is a complex problem, because each individual option, with its interrelationships, must be included and understood as a whole. It is essential that cars, public transport, bicycles, pedestrians and other means of transport are considered on an equal footing. Their contribution and their framework conditions must be presented systemically and included in a holistic concept. Solutions for new drive concepts already exist - the battery drive is only the first step. In Aachen, we started rethinking mobility early on. In addition to new drive and vehicle concepts, we are developing innovative mobility concepts - from so-called mobility hubs to digital app solutions for controlling our mobility to logistics solutions and solutions for public transportation. To this end, we have created a regulatory framework in which categories we develop mobility: The mobility of tomorrow will be sustainable, digital, connected, smart and autonomous. With the RWTH Aachen Campus certificate course, we would like to give you an overview of the individual categories. We will introduce you to the incremental change of mobility towards greater sustainability, show you which bottlenecks and drivers of sustainability exist and which technological basis the mobility of the future needs. In addition, we want to teach you how new business models can emerge from the change and what mobility solutions will look like. The RWTH Aachen certificate course Chief Mobility Engineering is aimed at specialists and managers from both industry and public administration who are concerned with sustainable mobility concepts and solutions and want to actively shape the change in the field of mobility.
