Industry 4.0 Use Cases for medium-sized companies (online seminar)

Wednesday, August 12, 2020, 1:00pm

Participants in the online seminar will learn how to use Industry 4.0 to overcome the challenges in production. For this purpose, Industry 4.0 Use Cases are presented, which have already been tested in the real production environment of the Demonstration Factory Aachen (DFA). The DFA is the industry 4.0 hotspot on the RWTH Aachen campus and represents the connection between practice-oriented research and innovative concepts from industry. Every year, around 15,000 interested visitors are shown the production of tomorrow at DFA. Industry 4.0 does not always mean that large investments have to be made. Even small, low-cost solutions achieve great effects, especially in medium-sized companies.

The use cases presented include intelligent monitoring and control of the energy consumption of a production as well as the use of a digital shadow to improve production transparency. Furthermore, examples of applications for driverless transport vehicles, collaborative robots and machine vision in production will be presented. The latest demonstrator at DFA is a working 5G network, which is used for different applications. We are looking forward to presenting these and other use cases in detail in the online seminar.

Finally, there will be enough time to answer your questions.

Participation in the online event is free of charge and is aimed specifically at small and medium-sized companies. No previous knowledge is required.

Further information and the possibility to register can be found on the event website.
