Trends and Potentials in the CAD CAM NC Process Chain

Monday, October 19 to Thuesday, October 20, 2020

Work preparation and production are of central importance in the product development process, as this step has a significant influence on the manufacturing costs. Various software and control systems are used to generate and process the information required for product and process planning. In order to be able to continue to meet the current challenges in industrial production in line with demand, these solutions are consistently developed further and supplemented with innovative modules.

The aim of this seminar is to highlight the current state of the art in the areas of production planning and control technology and here in particular the interface between both areas from the perspective of industrial practice and research as well as to show current development trends. The latest developments in the fields of CAD/CAM, NC programming and NC simulation will be presented during this seminar. A further focus will be on the integration of approaches and tools in processes of production order processing. The programme will be rounded off by current research work in the field of the CAD-CAM-NC process chain.
