Motivation:
Production processes are characterized by a high heterogeneity of different software interfaces and systems. Manufacturer-dependent, proprietary interfaces complicate the networking of different metrological systems and require the development of individual solutions. The integration of new measuring systems into an existing system therefore involves a great deal of effort. Storage solutions and mechanical evaluation of the collected data require a high degree of individualized solutions.
Objective:
Within the framework of the Excellence Cluster "Internet of Production", a model-based, service-oriented sensor interface is being developed that enables the automated integration of new sensors into the infrastructure of the Internet of Production. The integration of the sensors into an overall system with complex infrastructure as well as the performance and practicability of the developed solutions will be validated by means of novel, metrologically supported assembly processes. The data provided by the measuring systems will be fed into existing machine learning algorithms and data lakes after unification at interface and model level.
