IoP: Internet of Production - Work Stream B3.II: Short-term Production Management

 

The Internet of Production (IoP) is based on the vision to enable a new level of cross-domain collaboration by providing semantically adequate and contextual data from production, development and usage in real time and adapted granularity.

The central scientific approach is to provide digital shadows as application-specific aggregated and multi-perspective data sets. In the Cluster of Excellence, a conceptual reference infrastructure will be designed and implemented to enable the generation and use of digital shadows.

The aim of the "Work Stream B3.II: Short-term Production Management" is to provide autonomous tools and methods to improve decision making and implementation in time-critical production problems while at the same time ensuring high decision quality. For this purpose, individual applications are provided annually over the lifetime of the cluster, which are presented in an overview and can be interlinked. Based on a database, different aspects of the digitization of manufacturing companies can be illuminated.
