The course Metrology and Quality serves primarily to introduce students to the research fields of the Chair of Production Metrology and Quality Management. In this sense, the importance of measurement technology for the description of product quality and for the control of manufacturing processes is demonstrated by means of practical examples. On the other hand, organisational and methodical measures for monitoring the products in operation with regard to the fulfilment of previously defined requirements are taught.
