Are you also curious how the Industrie 4.0 reference factory was planned and realized for e.GO Mobile AG, the young electromobile startup from the Engineering Valley in Aachen? At the Laboratory for Machine Tools and Production Engineering (WZL) of RWTH Aachen University, we accompanied factory planning from site planning to implementation, combining scientific methods with state-of-the-art technology. We would like to share our experience with you.
The challenge of Factory Planning
For manufacturing companies, factory planning is increasingly becoming a decisive competitive factor in markets that are becoming faster and faster under continuous pressure to change (see also Basic Seminar Factory Planning). For this reason, the Certificate Course "Factory Planning" offers an executive program that addresses the crucial skills required to overcome the challenges.
In the Certificate Course "Factory Planning" methodical knowledge and validated concepts in the field of factory planning are provided. Interesting lectures from industry and research will shed light on the subject area from various angles by highlighting scientific and practical trends. Concrete case studies and workshops will also be used to test the theoretical content of the course in practice. The e.GO factory is one of numerous successful factory planning projects at WZL. The factory planning procedure in Aachen will be illustrated using use cases from the planning of the first series factory of e.GO Mobile AG.
In addition, further suggestions for operational practice can be collected through the exchange with speakers and among the participants, so that the course prepares for the industrial challenges in the decisive subject areas.
