AI technologies and applications for analyzing extensive and complex data from production processes serve to generate more reliable bases for decision-making. In this way, products and production processes can be optimized economically, ecologically, and technically. The guideline VDI/VDE 3714 has succeeded in providing a complete orientation on necessary measures for the application of advanced Big Data Analytics methods. The guideline also shows which approaches are suitable for goal-oriented work and which obstacles exist. 

The RWTH Aachen Campus certificate course Big Data Business Manager is held in cooperation with the VDI (Association of German Engineers). It offers complete intensive training in all areas of the guideline and prepares students to take leading responsibility for and monitor Big Data projects in all process steps of the entrepreneurial introduction and implementation. The course concludes with the RWTH Aachen Campus certificate and a VDI certificate.
