Trends and Potentials in the CAD/CAM/NC Process Chain

Tuesday, October 19, 2021 until Wednesday, October 20, 2021

In the product development process, work preparation and manufacturing are of central importance, as this step has a significant influence on manufacturing costs. Various software and control systems are used to generate and process the information required for product and process planning. In order to be able to continue to meet the current challenges in industrial manufacturing in line with requirements, these solutions are being consistently further developed and supplemented with innovative modules. The aim of this seminar is to highlight the current state of the art in the areas of production planning and control technology, and in particular the interface between the two areas, from the perspective of industrial practice and research, and to show current development trends. The latest developments in the areas of CAD/CAM, NC programming and NC simulation will be presented during this seminar. Another focus will be on the integration of approaches and tools into manufacturing order handling processes. The program will be rounded off by current research work in the field of the CAD-CAM-NC process chain.
