Artificial Intelligence (AI) has long since become part of our everyday life with applications such as Google Maps and amazon Alexa. There is also considerable potential in the industrial context, thanks to constantly increasing data availability and improved analysis options. But how do companies use artificial intelligence in production-related environments? And what successful practice approaches already exist?

The consortium benchmarking "AI in Operations" offers you the opportunity to find answers to these and other central questions concerning the use of AI in production and production-related areas. For this purpose, a study will identify and analyse proven successful concepts at leading companies. The successful strategies, structures and application examples are visited at the successful practice companies on site and can then be transferred to their own areas of responsibility.

The consortium benchmarking will started in November 2020 and the questions worked out with the consortium partners have been transformed into a questionnaire. The results were used to identify successful practice companies that are characterized by particularly innovative and promising approaches.
