WZL Gear Research Circle

On the initiative of industrial companies, the WZL Gear Research Circle was founded in 1956 with the aim of advancing joint research in the field of gear and transmission technology. Today, the member companies represent a comprehensive cross-section of leading national and international companies in the fields of automotive and industrial transmissions, transmission components, gear cutting and gear measuring machines as well as tool and coating technologies. This interdisciplinary composition is a guarantee for the continuous implementation of innovative and practice-relevant ideas from drive technology. The Working Group currently comprises 76 member companies.
