The main task of the WZL Laboratory for Machine Tools and Production Engineering at RWTH Aachen University as a university institute is the practice-oriented training of highly qualified young engineers. The knowledge gained from the research projects flows directly into teaching, which is thus always kept up to date.

With currently 40 students, most of them working at the Fraunhofer IPT and the WZL as assistants, you will alternate between the north and south routes. We visit companies that like to make their contents and processes tangible and thus create a presence with the students that today contributes significantly to the decision for an application.
