The main task of the Laboratory for Machine Tools and Production Engineering (WZL) as a university institute is the practice-oriented training of highly qualified young engineers. The knowledge gained from the research projects flows directly into teaching, which is thus always kept up to date. As one of the largest European universities, the RWTH offers an excellent environment for comprehensive and interdisciplinary studies.
