Manufacturing companies depend on the design of processes and structures to enable efficient processing of production orders. The lecture Production Management I presents the general connections and tasks to be mastered. Solution approaches and implementable measures are discussed in a practice-oriented way. In particular, questions regarding investment opportunities, estimates of expenditure and benefits, etc. must also be taken into account. In Production Management I, both the essential areas of a manufacturing company, such as design, work preparation, materials management, production, assembly and quality assurance, as well as cross-sectional tasks, such as information and cost accounting, and various organizational forms are considered.
