Abstract
This thesis presents a process chain for the functionalization of a thermoset, carbon fiber reinforced plastic component with thermoplastic compounds. It was shown that by combining a laser beam joining pretreatment with thermoplastic injection moulding, several functional elements can be attached to free-form surfaces with high reproducibility in one shot. For this purpose, a robot-based laser beam ablation process was implemented in the working space of an injection molding machine.
