Research Area
Product Monitoring

The demand for better product quality, process reliability and productivity leads to a restructuring of production settings. Up to date sensor and monitoring systems are used to research the behaviour of new product materials and the production requirements. Specific experimental analysis are done in our laboratory or at production facilities using mobile monitoring systems.

Processes can be analysed by:

Force measurement on fixed or rotating tools

Acceleration-, Impact sound- and real power analysis during the chipping

High-frequency temperature measurement during the chipping

Main topics:

  • High-sensitive disturbance identification
  • Development of fault-tolerant process strategies
  • Product and Process analysis
