The objective of the BMBF project ELIAS is to develop new approaches and concepts to make modern labor and production systems more learning supportive form the development stage on or to modify existing system accordingly while taking the increasing technological and demographic changes into account. ELIAS provides the interdisciplinary and design-oriented concept.

Research questions

  • How can competitiveness and employability be strengthened by a learning supportive work structure?
  • How can the suitability for learning be integrated as an explicit and objective design feature in the planning process of industrial cyber-physical work systems?

Result of the research project ELIAS is a broad-based approach for the learning supportive design of work systems for production and service processes. Further information about the consortium and the research results can be found at: www.projekt-elias.de.
