Electrical Discharge Machining
The Working Group Electrical Discharge Machining - EAK - is an association of companies that cooperate on the basis of special problems in the field of electrical discharge machining and electrochemical machining - EDM-ECM. This consortium of companies is made up of companies that are active in the development and manufacture of machine tools or the working media and electrode materials used.
In addition, leading manufacturing end users are involved in the user-oriented further development of the two production processes. The structure of the working group makes it possible to bring together knowledge from practice and basic research. The working group was spun off from TAK in the mid-1980s and comprised a total of 15 industrial partners in 2017.
