Adaptive Modelling of Production Process Sequences
Increasingly shorter product lifecycles and increased product changes lead to a planning and adaption of production process sequences at ever shorter intervals. This results in the high relevance of an adaptive design of process sequences for manufacturing companies in order to be able to react quickly to changes and the associated effects on production. In particular, the holistic modelling of process sequences enables a high reactivity.
As part of the Cluster of Excellence "Internet of Production", the research group Technology Planning is involved in the "Agile Product Development - Processes and Structures" subproject. The research focus in the context of technology planning lies in the development of models and methods that enable an adaptive design of process sequences so that the effects of product changes on planned production can be assessed at an early stage.
