Today's innovative and efficient production machines can only be realised by the use of modern simulation and optimisation tools. Comprehensive simulations with the help of virtual prototypes enable the design of machines, where the first prototype fulfils the requirements in the best possible manner. The aim of the activities of the research group Design and Calculation of Production Plants is the user-oriented application and further development of modern simulation technologies for the innovative design of technical challenging products.
