The aim of the model-based metrology is smart processing, evaluation and intelligent utilization of acquired data to use the present potential of a measurement process to a maximum extent. Measurement and production process are simulated with an ideal model and where necessary fitted to the real conditions.
Under consideration of this background our group develops methods to precisely estimate measurement uncertainties which are the base of quality decisions, to complete measurement data with a priori knowledge and to widen the production tolerances through intelligent combination considering the product functionality.
