Nowadays Lean Production is a fundamental component of the production system in most companies, whose effects on productivity, quality and ability to supply are undisputed. The challenges for producing companies have changed in the last years: the classical aims costs and quality and therewith process and technology control are naturally assumed. Today the central criteria for standing out are to be the fastest one and to provide the highest customer individualisation. This shows for the planning and working of production companies that the control of increasing process complexity moves into the centre of interests. The central challenge is called thereby Lean Complexity the correct control of the process complexity in the production.
