The steadily growing product variant diversity and customer demands for increasingly complex and sophisticated products require especially in the field of quality control often a reorganisation of inspection und measuring concepts in the production. With the modular strategy tool IDENT, a capable instrument for the optimised application of measurement systems has been developed for more efficient manufacturing processes. Initially it was primarily applied in the automotive and components suppliers industry. Meanwhile also in other industries contributions to cost reductions in quality assurance and at the same time an enhancement of process and product quality could be made.
