	The research group "Machine Investigation and Evaluation' is concerned with all issues around the metrological analysis and optimization of machine tools and production machines. In the focus of the groups work are both practice-oriented research and teaching as well as industrial services. Fields of research: Static and dynamic flexibility behaviour of machine tools (modal analysis) Thermal behavior Geometrical and kinematical accuracy Stability of Cutting Processes Process-Machine-Interaction in Forging Within the scope of industrial projects, we offer the following services: Metrological investigation and evaluation of production machines • geometric / kinematic • static / dynamic • thermal Analysis and optimization of instable machining processes Acceptance of machine tools Design of active and passive damping systems For the implementation of industrial projects, we have a long, well grounded expertise and a professional portfolio of metrology.
