FE-Analysis of Cutting


For a complete description of the plastomechanic procedures during cutting, experiments are supported by process simulations. Model-based views of the cutting process extend the understanding for the thermal and mechanical loads of tools and workpieces. They form the basis for the determination of optimal tools, cutting parameters and for prediction of component properties.
